The area below the fence line has been treated with animal impact; the area above had not been managed...
It was the health of the vegetation that had been been treated that stopped the fire. (The fire was lit around noon during the middle of the wet season in a position about 200 meters up-hill from where the photo was taken. The photo was taken approximately three hours later.)
