Photo Libraries: Reducing Erosion
A ravine at Chapa de Mota, Mexico
(a research station about an hour
and a half NW of Mexico City) in August 1999.
The same ravine in July 2001 after the management team
used Holistic Management and planned grazing to determine
when and how to use their "flerd" (flock + herd) of various
livestock species to heal the ravine by trampling the edge
and breaking the soil cap and fertilizing the area with their waste.
